Introduction
ThunderNews.com has developed the policies described in our Terms and Conditions Policy to inform you of our expectations regarding account usage. ThunderNews.com does not wish to regulate or censor our customers or their right to free speech. We do find it necessary to establish a set of ground rules that promotes respect for the law and for other Usenet users for the betterment of the Usenet community.
If you are found to be in violation of ThunderNews.com policies, we will take action to prevent similar occurrences including loss of account posting privileges and account termination.
By signing up for service you are agreeing that you have read, understood and will abide by our Terms and Conditions Policy.
Valid E-mail Address
You agree to keep ThunderNews.com informed of your current e-mail address. Your e-mail address is the primary way we contact you regarding support and service to your account.
You may update your e-mail account information on the Account Dashboard in the Members Area.
Usenet Content
The content of Usenet newsgroups is not regulated by ThunderNews.com. ThunderNews.com does not review or exert editorial control over the contents of Usenet newsgroups. ThunderNews.com is not liable for the content of material posted to the Usenet. Users accept full responsibility for material posted to Usenet.
Copyrights & Intellectual Property
ThunderNews.com cannot be responsible for reviewing the millions of messages posted through Usenet to determine their copyright status. You are responsible for determining the legal status of any material you use or duplicate from Usenet newsgroups. Some material that is available through Usenet newsgroups is copyrighted and may have been distributed in violation of copyright laws.
You agree not to transfer copyrighted works through our system without permission of the copyright holder. You agree to use your account with ThunderNews.com for lawful purposes only. Violations of this policy brought to our attention will be grounds for suspension of posting privileges or account termination.
If you are unsure of the copyright status, you should do what is right and ethical.
Transfer of others’ personal confidential information or hacking to obtain it is a serious offense and will be treated as grounds for account termination. Violations may also lead to criminal prosecution or civil action taken against offenders.

Age Requirement
By signing up for service with ThunderNews.com and accepting this agreement, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age (or 21 years of age where required).
Payment and Billing - Ongoing Service
ThunderNews.com service is billed in advance in 30 day increments from the date you open your account or if your account is Recycled or Upgraded. Accounts are automatically renewed at the end of each 30 day service period for another service period. The rebill transaction may occur up to 24 hours before the end of the service period to ensure uninterrupted service.
Invoices and charges for your account can be viewed using the Account Dashboard in the Members Area.
You can upgrade or downgrade your account at any time through the Account Dashboard in the Members Area. Upgrades will be effective as soon as the transaction processes successfully with your payment method. Upgrading your account restarts your paid service for 30 days from the day you upgrade and changes your renewal date. Downgrades will be effective at the next billing service period.
If you have the Auto Recycle option Enabled and your reach your download limit before your service period is up, our system will automatically renew your account and bill your payment method - usually within 1-2 hours of reaching your download limit. If Auto Recycling is Disabled, your account will be placed on hold until it rebills at the end of your service period.
If you reach your limit and Auto Recycling is Disabled and you want to renew your account, you may request we renew or upgrade your account on the Members Account Dashboard.
Payment may be made by your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card or by PayPal account.
For free Trial Accounts, your payment method will not be billed during the trial period, but our system will run an authorization for $1.00 or $10.00 to confirm the financial information is legitimate.
If the first attempt to charge your credit card or PayPal fails, we may process the transaction again. If the payment transaction does not process, your account will be placed on hold at the end of your current paid service period. You may use the Account Dashboard to change your credit card information. If payment fails repeatedly, contact our Billing Department for help.
Account Cancellation
You may request cancellation of service through the Account Dashboard or by submitting a cancellation request on our Support page. Accounts renew automatically until a cancellation request is received.
Cancellation requests will be effective at the next billing date for service. Cancellation requests must be received at least 3 days prior to the billing date in order to be effective before the next billing date. Cancellation requests received after the billing date will become effective at the next billing date. You may view your next billing date on the Your Account page.
Refunds will not be issued for prorated months. Service will continue on canceled accounts until paid service ends on your account monthly billing date. Accounts that are suspended or terminated are not entitled to refunds.
Fraud
If your credit card or PayPal account was fraudulently used to gain access to ThunderNews.com, fax a copy of the police report to us at (888) 418-2-eight-7-eight and we will refund the charges. We may take steps to prevent the card number from being used again. We may report any fraud to appropriate authorities for proper criminal prosecution and civil action.
If ThunderNews.com finds a charge for our service has been forcefully refunded or charged back, the user will be in violation of this agreement and your account will be subject to termination.
You agree not to attempt to bypass any security or access features of this site.
Download Accounting
Downloads are measured in bytes as they are transferred from our servers. Your download amount records are updated at the end of each session with our news server. If you reach your download limit, your account will be placed on hold until your account is Recycled, Upgraded or Renewed on your next billing cycle.
If you reach your limit during a download, you may or may not be allowed to complete it. Any bytes downloaded in excess of your available download limit may be charged against future service periods.
We may send you an e-mail as you approach your download limit. You may check your download information at any time by accessing your Account Dashboard in the Members Area.
Uploads to the Usenet through our servers are not charged against your transfer limit.
Liability
You agree to be responsible for activities that occur in connection with your account. As a condition of accessing ThunderNews.com service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThunderNews.com, its officers, employees, agents, and owners for any cause of action arising out of your account with your use of the service. If ThunderNews.com incurs expense to defend itself as a result of a user’s actions, posts, statements or activity, that user agrees to indemnify ThunderNews.com for all expenses incurred to protect and defend itself or respond to the problem.
ThunderNews.com, its officers, employees, agents, and owners shall in no way be liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use our service.
This agreement shall be governed by South Carolina law. The venue for any action arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be in Greenville County, South Carolina. You consent to and waive objection to this jurisdiction and venue.
You agree not use or provide information about or contained within this site against ThunderNews.com, its officers, employees, agents, and owners.
Availability of Service
ThunderNews.com will endeavor to provide a quality service to our customers. Our system is provided on an As Is and As Available basis without warrantees or guarantees. We make no guarantees as to system availability, though we will make our best effort provide the service our customers expect.
ThunderNews.com reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate service or refuse service at its sole discretion to anyone at any time for any reason.
ThunderNews.com takes reasonable care in publishing information about our service. ThunderNews.com does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information posted on our web site or in advertisements. Typographical errors or technical inaccuracies are possible. if you see an error, please bring it to our attention by contacting our Webmaster.
Range of Newsgroups
ThunderNews.com reserves the right to offer a different range of newsgroups to customers paying by PayPal.
Policy Updates
ThunderNews.com reserves the right to revise, supplement or rescind any policy at any time without notice.
It is your responsibility to stay informed of our policies. Our policies can be reviewed in the Account Dashboard in the Members Area.
